On October 24–26, 2025, the international contemporary art fair Astana Art Fair will take place in Astana at the Congress Center with the support of the Astana City Administration.
In 2025, the Astana Art Fair will unfold under the theme “Bolashaqtyń tamyrlary” / Future Roots / «Корни будущего». The theme explores the idea of origins as sources of new cultural impulses and visions of tomorrow. Astana is envisioned as a city where the local and the global intersect, generating energy for cultural renewal and dialogue.
The Astana Art Fair is conceived as a long-term cultural initiative aimed at supporting the development of the creative sector, cultural economy, and art market, while also engaging young people in the global cultural process.
Among the participants are galleries, collectives, independent artists, and experts from Central Asia, Russia, and other regions. The program features painting, installations and multimedia projects, performances, as well as an extensive public program: public and artistic talks, and educational lectures for both children and adults. Following the results of the Open Call, a curatorial section of Astana Art Fair 2025 will be presented.
For artists and galleries, this platform offers an opportunity to showcase their work on the international stage and build professional connections, while for visitors it is a chance to engage more closely with the world of contemporary art, discover new names, and acquire artworks.
Particular attention is given to inclusion and accessibility: conditions will be created for visitors with limited mobility, as well as for guests with hearing and visual impairments.
“We hope that Astana Art Fair will become a new point of attraction and a platform for cultural exchange — a place where collectors, galleries, emerging and established artists can meet and share their perspectives with a wider audience, allowing everyone to feel part of a greater cultural dialogue,” note the organizers from Urpaq, an association created to provide systematic support for cultural and educational initiatives and serving as the initiator of the project.
